Cave of Grand Dukes

The ancient Roman concept of Ab Imo Salus, which means ‘health from the depths’, comes to life at the majestic Cave of Grand Dukes. This small natural cave can be accessed through a short tunnel that was built in the early 700s, and just recently discovered and opened to the public.

Inside the Cave of the Grand Dukes, the water flows consistently from a small waterfall, creating a warm and humid environment that helps stimulate the senses in the body, and restore the balance between the body and mind. This kind of atmosphere also helps regulate blood pressure and eliminate toxins from the body through heavy perspiration. Visitors can enjoy the soothing sensation of the steam from the moment they enter, as it slowly starts to reduce inflammation in the body, and decongest the respiratory system.
