Iraia baths are built in the homonymous village Loutra, in a green environment, 50 km away from Pyrgos and 12 kilometres northwest of the village Paloumpa, on the road Tripolis- Ancient Olympia. The therapeutic value of the baths is known from the Roman era. In ancient times, the city of Iraia was located here. The traveller Pausanias, when he passed through the area in 176 A.D., described the ancient city as thriving (Pausanias H 26, 1-2). According to ancient texts, ancient Iraia was a remarkable city with α forum, baths and big streets surrounded by trees.

Health thermalism facilities

The hydrotherapy centre has 20 individual tubs with a hall, 3 jaccuzis and 3 marble tubs, all of them with halls. The water in the tubs is heated until it reaches a temperature of 36-38oC. The baths are open from June to October, every day from 08:00 am to 15:00 pm. In the village Loutra, visitors can find rooms to rent and a hotel.
