The curative springs of Kaitsas- Dranistas (Baths of Kaitsa) have been known since the time of the Turkish Rule. Its regular and organised function dates back to 1890, when the first record of their curative properties is found. The springs are located in a beautiful, green, natural scenery, 44km from Karditsa, at an altitude of 400 metres.

Curative Water

The water of the springs gushes from limestone rocks at a temperature of 22oC

Characterisation: Cold Ca — Na — HCO3 — Br – F – hydrosulphide, hypotonic curative water of the municipality of Dranista- Kaitsa.

Therapeutic Indications: Arthritis, neuropathies, neurological ailments. Chronic rheumatisms, lombosciatalgia, spondyloarthritis, degenerative arthritis, myalgia, headaches, cervical syndrome, gynecological ailments

Thermalism Facilities

The infrastructure of the baths consists of a modern hydrotherapy centre, which is located under shady planes and oaks, 150 metres away from the rest of the facilities. It has 24 tubs and fully meets the visitors’ needs and demands. Establishments for accommodation and eating operate near the hydrotherapy centre. The bath season lasts from the 1st of June to the 30th of September, between 08:00am – 13:00 pm and 17:00 – 20:00 pm.
